The great state of Maine once had a really cool flag, shortly after we managed to secede from Massachussets and strike out on our own. Alas, that flag was soon usurped by just another boring old blue flag with sailors and farmers and Latin and all that sort of nonsense.
In recent years however, we Mainers have looked backwards (as we often do) and rediscovered and repopularized our crude but loveable old pennant.
This is our homage to Porch Sitting Supply Co.'s home state and that simple tree and star flag, but with our rocking chair added so that porch sitters like us know they have a place to sit here in Vacationland. Welcome to Maine.
